A SOLDIER OF FORTUNE

HOW TO GET THE MEDAL OF VALOR?

Soldiers are men fit for all behavior of services, they suit best to provide support and bear the countless struggles and unending hazards of their battles called war. Nap is their best armor.

According to Ronald Reagan, some people live an entire lifetime and wonder if they have ever made a difference in the world. Be with him the glory for the great difference he made.

A soldier's blood makes the glory of the general. Yet, a general's curse is for a subordinate in a sweet and creative catnap.

For Winston Churchill: Never give in -- never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy. But, no one can ever give up in slumber.

John F. Kennedy was quoted: A young man who does not have what it takes to perform military service is not likely to have what it takes to make a living. But living requires a good napping. He deserves it.

General Douglas Mac Arthur claims in war there is no substitute for victory. For some, in life nothing can replace rest, which is break, relax in other words - sleep.

For Thucydides: Be convinced that to be happy means to be free and that to be free means to be brave. Therefore do not take lightly the perils of war. To have extra time of sleep means more than being happy.

Being in the service of army is like being in the Boy Scouts, except that the Boy Scouts have adult supervision. The reason soldiers can take their nap anywhere they want creatively - that is with no supervision.

Noting Aristotle: We make war that we may live in peace. We take a deep sleep that we may live in a more peaceful way.

ASH TO ASH, DUST TO DUST

WHAT'S THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THIS DAY?

1. Ash Wednesday is the first day of lent that is 46 days before Easter. According to the canonical gospels of Matthew, Mark and Luke, Jesus spent forty days of fasting in the desert before the beginning of his public ministry during which he endured temptation by Satan. This encourages every faithful to resist temptation, let go of the flesh for a day, observe moderation on daily pleasures and of course submit to repentance and reflect on the good news of the gospel. This is a friendly reminder this only happens once a year, again just once a year. Take note.

2. In observation to the said ritual, faithfuls are reminded that they came from the dust to where they shall return through the sacramental imposition of ashes on their foreheads. This invites the faithful to an annual cleansing practice of penitential confession, of fasting and abstinence and as well as remittance of tithe (which seemed optional). Now, sinners and consistent crime practitioners and the like (politicians and those in authorities like men in congress, drug lords and pushers, serial killers, snatchers and hold uppers, gluttons and sloth and etc. - this doesn't exclude you and me) are given a chance to shine and defer their/your/our indulgences. How good and kind Someone from above is?

3. Turn away from sin and believe in the gospel. Take time to reflect. Don't inject to those pleasures.

ARCHITECTURE OF A FEMALE BODY

THE ORIGIN OF THE WORD

This is a sample of the architect's drawing plate for female bodies.
No complications and very comprehensible.
This is a reflection of how the human mind works. More than God?
It's only now that a female human body can be architectured!
A perfect architecture. A perfect body. And a perfect female body.
Thus its a perfect appropriation of the 'word'.
